About this tool

A countdown timer you can see from the back of a room: for classroom activities, workouts, presentations, cooking, study sessions and board game turns.

It keeps time from your device's clock rather than counting ticks, so it stays exact even if you switch tabs. The time left also shows in the tab's title. Tip: add ?t=300 to the address to open it with five minutes already set.

Frequently asked questions

+Will it work if I switch tabs?

Yes. It follows the clock, so the time stays right. Browsers may delay the sound slightly in a background tab, so keep it visible for exact alarms.

+Can I set a timer longer than an hour?

Yes, up to 24 hours. Type the minutes (for example 90) and tap Set.

+Is there a sound?

Yes, a chime at zero. Make sure your device isn't muted.
