Privacy Policy
Last updated 2 October 2026
This policy explains what information Resharen ("we", "us") collects when you use the site, how we use it, and what you can do about it. We collect as little as we can to make the site work.
1. What we collect
When you make a page. Everything you put in it: names, messages, photos, colours and settings such as an expiry time, a scheduled opening time or a lock question. The answer to a lock question is stored only in scrambled (hashed) form.
When you create an account. Your email address and, if you choose, a display name. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google. We never see your Google password.
When someone opens a page. That it was opened and when, plus anything the template reports, such as which button was pressed. If the person opening it is signed in, the page's maker can see their display name. Otherwise the open is anonymous.
To stop abuse. When you make a page without an account, we keep a one-way scrambled code made from your IP address, to apply daily limits. We can't turn it back into your IP address.
When you contact us. Reports, suggestions and Premium interest forms contain what you write, and an email address if you give one.
Technical information. Like most websites, our hosting providers process basic technical data (IP address, browser type, the pages requested) to deliver the site and keep it secure.
2. How we use it
- To create, show and store your pages, and to send them to the people you share them with.
- To run your account: sign-in, My pages, and statistics about your pages.
- To keep the site safe: daily limits, handling reports and removing pages that break our Terms.
- To improve the site: understanding which templates and features people use and ask for.
- To show ads, as described below.
We don't sell your personal information.
3. Who can see your page
Anyone who has the link to a page can open it. Links are long and random, so they're hard to guess, but anyone you share a link with can pass it on. Don't put anything in a page that you wouldn't want seen by someone other than the person you send it to.
You can lock a page with a question, schedule when it opens, or make it expire. Unless you turn the preview off, the person's name may appear in the link preview that messaging apps show.
5. Advertising
We show ads to keep the site free, including ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites.
You can turn off personalised advertising in Google's Ads Settings (adssettings.google.com), and learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. In the EEA, UK and Switzerland, you'll be asked for consent before personalised ads are shown.
Ads are not shown inside the pages you make and send.
6. Services we rely on
We use trusted providers to run the site. They process data on our behalf and only as needed to provide their service:
- Vercel, which hosts the website.
- Supabase, which stores accounts, pages and photos.
- Google, for Google sign-in (if you use it) and for advertising.
These providers may store data in countries other than yours, including the United States, with appropriate safeguards in place.
7. How long we keep it
- Pages with an expiry time are deleted automatically when they expire, together with their statistics. Photos no page uses any more are deleted too.
- Pages set to never expire are kept until you delete them, or until you delete your account and choose to delete your pages with it.
- Your account is kept until you delete it.
- Reports and suggestions are kept as long as we need them to handle them and improve the site.
8. Your choices and rights
You can see and delete your pages in My pages, and change or delete your account from the Account page. Deleting your account removes your sign-in details; you choose whether your pages are deleted too.
Depending on where you live (for example in the EU, UK or California), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your data, to object to or limit how it's used, and to complain to your local data protection authority. To use any of these rights, contact us through the Contact page.
9. Children
Resharen is not meant for children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and they shouldn't create an account. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.
10. Security
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls in our database, and scrambled storage for lock answers. No service can be perfectly secure, so please don't put sensitive information such as passwords, ID numbers or bank details in a page.
11. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. For important changes, we'll make it clear on the site.
12. Contact
