How it works

  1. 1The player whose turn it is reads the topic card.
  2. 2They say three statements on that topic: two true, one false, in any order.
  3. 3Everyone votes on the lie. Then the player reveals it, and anyone who guessed right gets a point.

About this game

Two truths and a lie is the best icebreaker for groups who don't know each other yet: it's quick, everyone gets a turn, and you learn real things about people while trying to catch them out.

The hard part is thinking of good statements on the spot, so this deck gives you a topic for each turn. Tip: make your lie boring and one of your truths outrageous. People always vote for the wild one.

Yes. It's one of the most popular icebreakers for teams and classes, and it works on video calls too.
