About Digital Advent Calendar
A digital advent calendar is a little surprise every morning in December, made by you. Instead of chocolate, each of the 24 doors hides something personal: a love note, a coupon for breakfast in bed, a funny challenge, a song to play, or a photo of a favourite memory. You send one link; they open today's door, and the next one stays shut until tomorrow. It's the online advent calendar that works for a boyfriend, a girlfriend, a husband or wife, a best friend, a long-distance relationship or the whole family.
You don't need ideas to start: 24 surprises are already written, so you can send it as it is in a minute, or make every door your own. Add your photos and they appear behind the doors. The first door opens on 1 December, or pick another date and use it as a countdown calendar to a birthday, a trip, a wedding or the day you see each other again. Doors open by the date on their phone, today's door glows, and a door that isn't ready yet just wiggles and says when it opens. It's free, works in any browser and in WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger, and you can see how many doors they've opened.

Questions
How do I make a digital advent calendar?
Type their name and yours, keep the 24 surprises that are ready or write your own, add photos if you like, and create your link. Send it on or before 1 December: they open one door each day.
What can I put behind the doors?
Anything that makes them smile: love notes, “reasons I love you”, coupons (a massage, breakfast in bed, a movie night), small challenges, songs to play, films to watch, inside jokes and photos of your favourite memories. Each door can have an emoji, a message and a photo.
Can they open all the doors at once?
No. Each door opens on its own day, by the date on their phone. Today's door glows, and if they tap a door that isn't ready, it wiggles and tells them when it opens. Doors they've opened stay open, so they can read them again.
Can it start on a different day, like a countdown to a birthday?
Yes. Leave the date empty for 1 December, or pick any day for the first door. Use 7 doors for a week-long countdown, 24 for Advent, or 25 to include Christmas Day.
Is it good for a long-distance relationship?
It's perfect for long distance: it's a link, so it works anywhere in the world, and opening a door from you every morning is a small way to be together every day of December.
Is the digital advent calendar free? Do they need an app?
Yes, it's free to make and send. They don't need an app or an account: the link opens in any browser, also inside WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger and Telegram.
Will I know when they open a door?
Yes. With a free account you see in My pages how many doors they've opened, and they can send you a reaction or a voice message to say thank you.
